What's New on the New 2020 Nissan Armada?

2020 Nissan Armada
Nissan’s biggest SUV – the Nissan Armada – has undergone a massive makeover. So, what is it about this behemoth that has auto enthusiasts everywhere going gaga?

How is the 2020 Armada different from the 2019?

The front section of the Armada has received a significant makeover, and now, the car has a brand new grille and re-designed LED headlights & daytime running lights. The tail lights too have been restyled. Additionally, there are heated outside mirrors on the SV line.

Apart from this, the Armada’s premium tire and wheel package – 22-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 275/50R22 tires – is now common on all Platinum Reserve models. If you’re eyeing the Platinum range, you can still get the wheels for an additional $2,250.

On the inside, the 2020 Nissan Armada has minor updates. The touchscreen infotainment system is a tad larger, and there’s an additional touchscreen that has replaced the button in-cabin controls.

In addition to this, the 3-row, 8-occupancy seats are now standard on all Platinum, SL, and SV variants. But if you’d like to get the 7-seater, 2-row bucket seats (that are standard on the Platinum Reserve) for your SL or Platinum-class vehicle, you’ll need to pay extra.

The traditional 5.6-liter V-8 that generates 390 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque with a 7-speed transmission is still available for both RWD and AWD. The powerful engine gives an impressive towing of 8500 pounds – making the Armada perfect for long-distance journeys.

Overall, the 2020 Armada is certainly more muscular and spacious than its predecessor. If space is what you’re looking for, then this vehicle is a great option. Of course, with upgrades come changes in pricing.

While the SV and SL trims are the same price as last year, the Platinum trim costs $200 more, while the Platinum Reserve's price rose by $1,700. The destination charge is the same, at $1,395.
