2016 Nissan Altima vs 2016 Toyota Camry

WHICH SEDAN IS THE BETTER BUY?

2016 Nissan Altima vs 2016 Toyota Camry

Nissan has impressed us again with the release of the 2016 Nissan Altima.  Now available at Windsor Nissan. What’s even more impressive is the price tag on the Altima.  The 2016 Nissan Altima 2.5S model will start at $22,900, while the 2016 Toyota Camry LE will start at $23,070. Priced $170 more in the Camry, what is the Altima missing?  Let’s find out…

The 2016 Altima fuel economy is 27/39 or 31 combined, whereas the 2016 Camry is 25/35 with a combined fuel economy of 28.  So what is 3 extra miles you ask? This is an average yearly savings of $223.  Amazing! So why will you pay more for the 2016 Camry?

The 2016 Altima comes standard with the Nissan Intelligent Key. The intelligent key allows you to unlock, and lock the vehicle by pressing the button on the door.  No need to fumble in your purse looking for your keys.  As long as the key is within a few feet of the vehicle, you can open with just a push of a button.  This feature is not available on the 2016 Camry.

Do you like music?  If you answered yes, then the Altima is perfect for you.  The 2016 Nissan Altima comes standard with Satellite radio.  This is another feature not available in the 2016 Camry. So if music is your thing, don’t expect to hear anything good in your Camry.  In fact, you will miss out over 175 different channels.  The Altima is also equipped with the radio data system.  This is when the information regarding the artist playing and song title is displayed on the screen.  Want to know who is signing that cool new song? Driving a Camry, you will never know.  The radio data system is not available on the Camry.

What does the 2016 Camry offer?  Bluetooth.  Yes, the Camry offers Bluetooth hands free phone calling.  So does the Altima. The Altima offers Bluetooth as a standard feature on every Altima.  In addition, the 2016 Altima adds power!  Yes, the Altima has 170 HP, while the 2016 Camry only offers 168.  So what is 2 horses you ask? Who cares, 2 horses are better than none.

In conclusion, the 2016 Altima costs less, and offers more than its competitor the 2016 Toyota Camry.  If I was comparing features and cost, the Altima makes more sense.  Get more for your money when you purchase a 2016 Nissan Altima at Windsor Nissan in East Windsor, NJ.
